Teresa was elected MLA for Richmond Centre in 2013, 2017, 2020 and is now seeking re-election in Richmond-Bridgeport. She currently serves as Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism, Anti-Racism Initiatives, Arts and Culture.

Previously she served as Shadow Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, and Multiculturalism.

Teresa has been honoured with the Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown, one of the highest decorations from the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for her community service. She was also previously named one of BC’s top 100 most influential women by the Vancouver Sun, and one of Greater Vancouver’s top 33 most outstanding Chinese Canadians by Sing Tao Daily Vancouver.
